About
RelayBox started as a group chat where a few of us kept swapping links to games nobody else seemed to talk about. Eventually the list got too long for a chat window, so we built a proper place for it. Everything you read here comes from people who put the hours in on their own phones, on the bus, on the couch, wherever.
We focus on indie and smaller-team releases because that's where the surprises live. A three-person studio has no reason to play it safe, and that shows up in the weird ideas and rough edges we love. We cover puzzles, RPGs, racers, strategy, whatever earns a spot.
How do games make it onto the site? Someone on the team has to have played it long enough to have a real opinion — not a twenty-minute skim. We take notes as we go, argue about ratings, and only publish once the writer can defend their take out loud.
We're not tied to any publisher or store. If a game bores us halfway through, we say so. The whole point is that you can trust the person on the other side of the screen actually cared enough to keep playing.
